This sort of thing is usually from anti virus and spyware companies who have a very aggressive sales attack.They will download all sorts of crap onto your pc if you dont know what you are doing.A friend of mine downloaded a known pc ';cleaner'; program which installed a straton worm as well,AD-AWARE installed an unwise file on another.Try downloading AVG FREE ANTI VIRUS FROM GRISOFT.COM,THIS SHOULD SORT IT FOR YOU.By far the best two anti virus programs to run together are WINDOWS DEFENDER (this will also give you a software search tool) and AVG FREE ANTI VIRUS ,BOTH THESE PROGRAMS SHOULD BE ON AUTOMATIC UPDATES.
downoad adaware from lavasoft.com and spybot S%26amp;D ......it'll get rid of all that.... it's freeware
try to download mozilla firefox, then use it io go to download.com and download spybot search and destroy and follow the instructions as you run it, then go to lavasoft.com and download adaware and do the same, all of this is free and should solve your problems.

1st thing, do you have anti virus software? u need pop up blocker and a firewall. that will help.
