i wrote to both yahoo and microsoft.
this is most definitely a scam (it was pretty obvious it was a scam anyway but i wrote to inform them both)
all of these 'lotto' type emails are scams, they all ask the same info so ask why.
having these seemingly harmless details gives the sender the opportunity to use your name for a load of scams.
