True'Poll : True Or False %26gt; When God Closes A Door He Opens A Window ☻ !?
when God closes a door, he is being mean and out of character, so he starts to feel bad about it, but not quite bad enough, so he opens a window...its kind of like meeting in the middle.

True.Poll : True Or False %26gt; When God Closes A Door He Opens A Window ☻ !?
False. He slams the door in my face and locks the windows so I'm stuck outside (:
true..... god always a had a good reason for everything.
When god closes a door he opens few more doors not just a window.
i thought he just closes the door and locks it cause the windows are nailed shut
false, you close doors, he cracks the window open.
I THINK

YES...

but others who don't believe in God probably DON'T believe in it so it really isn't true or false.
False
False. What if its winter??

Malwarebytes came up with 4 trojan that points to C:\\window\system32\SYSTEM32\r鈥?false positive?

I scanned my com with Malwarebytes and it came up with 4 trojan.agent that points to C:\\windows\system32\SYSTEM32\rtl8187B.s鈥?is this a real trojan or is this a false positive, my audio driver is Realtek.Malwarebytes came up with 4 trojan that points to C:\\window\system32\SYSTEM32\r鈥?false positive?
Hey- You dont usually have TWO system32 Folders! How come nobody else mentioned that??

Please go here and make sure: http://security.symantec.com/sscv6/Welco鈥?/a>

Its FREE and accurate... Cause you dont have 2 system32 folders usually.... thats suspicious there alone!Malwarebytes came up with 4 trojan that points to C:\\window\system32\SYSTEM32\r鈥?false positive?
according to realtek, the rtl8187B is a wireless lan usb 2.0 controller, so if your system uses a realtek component for the wireless, my guess is its a false positive because the file is a driver designed to transmit/receive data, and may be picked up as an unknown potential hazard by malwarebyes, dat files usually only include the known threats, other items that are harmless may get flagged because they fit the profile of a dangerous item

for information on the rtl8187b

It is usually 100% fake unless you do not have antivirus protection and a firewall. If you do, get norton internet security trial and then scan and get rid of it. Then trial expires... Free removal.
god, i have the same thing that's bothering me.

!!!!! i know it's trojan though.

Is this a statement (shut the window) and is it either true or false?

It's a command (an imperative). It is neither true nor false because it doesn't make an assertion. If you said, ';He said, 'shut the window'';, then that's a statement and is true or false depending on whether he said that or not.

A window is a graphical object that can represent a folder a running program, is this true or false?

true

open a folder it opens in a WINDOW.. open a program it opens in a WINDOW. i guess thats why they call it WINDOWS XP

Is it a false positive? Or can the dye leak to the result window?

ok, so I'm a week late and i just took my 2nd prego test. I waited a min or so and it was neg again to i threw it away, bout 20 min later I relooked before i headed to work..just to be sure and a faint line but deff a line, was there. What do you think? Prego? Is it a false positive? Or can the dye leak to the result window?
Well after 15 min the test is usually void but maybe you are.maybe it was an evaporation line.Is it a false positive? Or can the dye leak to the result window?
You are supposed to dispose of the test after 10 minutes. If you are not sure, retest and check the results before the 10 minute window is over. Good luck!
Past so many minutes on the test the test is no longer accurate. Take a test and wait the whole amount of time then look at it.
dont read after 10min.!

wait 2 days..and make another one with morning urine
yes happend to me do another to make sure x

According to the information I could find (see sources section below), it could take up to a week. I have uninvited program icons in my Windows Vista notification area. They're giving false security alerts.?

    How do I remove them?

These are false alerts, I feel sure, because Scans using Windows Defender come up clean - and scans with McAffee Virus Detection come up clean. But these Shield Icons (look like the Windoed Firewall and Security icons, but a little different) keep warning me of dire consequences if I don't download their $55 fix. One is ';System Security'; and other is NetSpyGuard (or some-such) and another programs keeps feeding pop-ups too: VirusRemoval2008 I think that one is. Anyway - I haven't found how to delete these (don't say right click on them.... they don't respond to right click.) How do I make them stop and go -away?I have uninvited program icons in my Windows Vista notification area. They're giving false security alerts.?
Run system in safe mode and restore your system back to your earliest backup without the proble, then manually clean out your registry of the rootfiles of the program. Check your programfiles for folders of the same name.

I laughed very hard when I read dire consequences for some reason.I have uninvited program icons in my Windows Vista notification area. They're giving false security alerts.?
yikes, i have the same thing just this morning, so will be interested to see how others answer this!

Windows 9x relies on DOS routines to load ,true or false?

Windows 95 and 98 sit upon a DOS operating system. However, its not MSDOS 6.22, its a Windows 95/98 DOS environment. If you were to strip out the WINDOWS directory, then the PC will try to boot - and stop in DOS with an error. If you did the same thing to a Windows NT/2000/XP PC, then you'd get the famous blue screen of death.

Windows NT/2000/XP/Vista all have their own non-DOS architecture.Windows 9x relies on DOS routines to load ,true or false?
false.Windows 9x relies on DOS routines to load ,true or false?
    Yes.
the early version of windows ran on top of dos like an overlay xp and nt both ran as seperate units
    true
True - Win 98 uses a DOS core system.
win95 did, but i think win98 was the first to go without dos.
    True

In Windows 2000, domains can exist under other domains? True or False?

    I think it's true.

Can someone test false positive for HIV in the window? How often does a false positive occur?!?

They said the initial test, Elisa tested positive twice for antibodies--- and it is tested twice due to the extreme sensitivty of the test then i was confirmed by a western blot which turned out to be negative? explanation???Can someone test false positive for HIV in the window? How often does a false positive occur?!?
Elisa has a 3-10% probability of a false positive. The Western blot is considered the best test but even it relies on the judgement of the test reader looking at the bands or rather looking for the bands.

So it is possible that you got two false positives on teh Elisa, but is also possible that you are positive and the person misread the Western blot test. As a measure of safety, and since you already have two positives, I would suggest another Western blot in 1 to 2 months and suggest it be done by a different lab.

The real question is why you are worried, are in a high risk group? If so then most certainly get recheck later. If your not in a high risk group then don't worry too much now but still get rechecked later.

Its difficult to quantify what a false negative probability is for any test as it is always possible that the evidence of infection your looking for aren't in a great enough concentration within your body to show up.

Sort of like testing for pregnancy each day after you had sex. Even though you conceived you wont show up on some test until you have actually been pregnant for some time. Does that mean that your pregnancy tests were false negatives? No it simply means that the chemical marker you were looking for wasn't picked up even though it was there. Can someone test false positive for HIV in the window? How often does a false positive occur?!?
This barely ever happens ever. This is very unusual and you should not worry about it.
Two separate tests are performed when screening for HIV in a laboratory. The ELISA test and the Western Blot. They each have features that make them extremely efficient in making sure that someone is not misdiagnosed.

The ELISA test is the ';screening test'; while the Western Blot is the ';confirmatory test';.

When blood reaches the lab, an ELISA test is performed. If the ELISA is negative, you are HIV-. This test is prone to ';false positives'; in fact it errs on the side of positive, so a negative result is considered conclusive.

If there is a positive ELISA or and ';indeterminate'; reading from the ELISA, then the confirmatory testing is done (Western Blot).

The Western Blot test is much more specific and the chances of getting a false positive are EXTREMELY rare. This test is much more expensive than the ELISA so they use the ELISA to screen out most of the negatives.

So, together they act as a catch all and they are very accurate. What happened to you happens a lot. Most people don't look at the specifics of the test results other than to hear ';positive'; or ';negative';.

    Nothing out of the ordinary.

    Hope this helps

    yes it does.

sorry, paul windows 2000 is just like xp

    trust me i know

i've run every windows operating system from windows 3.1 to xp pro.

i even got a sneak peak at windows vista.Windows 9x still relies on DOS routines to load true or false?
This is true, its not up until XP where it does not rely on DOS.Windows 9x still relies on DOS routines to load true or false?
    true
actually all the 9x line (95, 98, me) rely on dos routines - windows is really just a front end.

The NT series of lines (NT4, 2000, XP, VISTA) do not have DOS at all. However you can still emulate a command prompt (cmd.exe) if you need 'dos' based stuff. However old dos games will not work very well unless you download a program like dosbox

This sort of thing is usually from anti virus and spyware companies who have a very aggressive sales attack. They will download all sorts of crap onto your pc if you dont know what you are doing.A friend of mine downloaded a known pc ';cleaner'; program which installed a straton worm as well,AD-AWARE installed an unwise file on another.Try downloading AVG FREE ANTI VIRUS FROM GRISOFT.COM,THIS SHOULD SORT IT FOR YOU.By far the best two anti virus programs to run together are WINDOWS DEFENDER (this will also give you a software search tool) and AVG FREE ANTI VIRUS ,BOTH THESE PROGRAMS SHOULD BE ON AUTOMATIC UPDATES.
downoad adaware from lavasoft.com and spybot S%26amp;D ......it'll get rid of all that.... it's freeware
try to download mozilla firefox, then use it io go to download.com and download spybot search and destroy and follow the instructions as you run it, then go to lavasoft.com and download adaware and do the same, all of this is free and should solve your problems.

    You have smitfraud.
Your computer is clearly infected by malware.

To fix it properly, you should get yourself a good anti-virus, a good software firewall and a spyware cleaner.

    Some suggestions below:

    Anti-virus - Kaspersky, Symantec, McAfee, ...

Firewall - Kaspersky, Symantec, McAfee, AVG, Avira, ...

    Anti-Spyware - Spybot S%26amp;D, ...

Google the names provided above to find their respective software.

Once you have these three software installed and running, do full scans of your computer and the software will scan and remove whenever possible any malware.
virus called hijacker got in to stop this download or buy some good antis like norton or mcafee or buy a new computer..
your computer is infected with trojan (something like Zlob) that is trying to download and execute UltimateCleaner crap. try manual removal instructions for that scum
1st thing, do you have anti virus software? u need pop up blocker and a firewall. that will help.

    Windows Vista sucks..true or false?

    Its true

It likes to deactivate it self then you have to call over seas to reactivate it. customers should not be treated like criminals.

It uses two times the amount of hardware power and it runs two times slower then XP. It looks like a cross between apple/Linux stolen ideas. Gaming on it is a complete wash in a sea of poo! XP does everything better then vista, there is no reason to get vista. You can do more in xp. I like microsoft products but vista is like windows ME with a new paint job. Im not going to defend vista like I see many others doing there is no cause. Keep in mind these are the same people who said windows ME would get better with updates did it? NO! vista has to many problems to be worth using...Windows Vista sucks..true or false?
true when it first came out but not anymore i would probly get a person who knows computers to install it for uWindows Vista sucks..true or false?
False. It's only the people who can't handle something new and freak out on the slightest little problem that complain. If you know how to use it Vista is a very time saving OS. Everyone looks at the bad and not the good. Well I think the good over weighs the bad in this subject.
    TRUE

It looks cool, but it is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too slow.
False. If you have enough hard drive space you will be fine.
So very true - it's a slick shell on the outside with a terrible sloppy mess inside. Those that fall for the marketing are suckers.
    True....

You can't reliably upgrade a non-Vista machine to Vista. It makes me wonder why on earth they made Vista upgrade editions. Also if you happen to move to Vista expect to double your RAM, upgrade your video card, and a good chunk of your software applications. Not to mention WGA still exists, your system still calls Microsoft servers every so often to make sure your being a good boy or girl......

I got so fed up I switched all of the computers in our house to Linux. I can run it on my newest dual core 2.2ghz machine w/ 2 gigs of RAM all the way down to my lowly 750mhz Pentium III laptop that maxed out at 192MB shared RAM!

    My OS - $0.00

    My applications - $0.00

Being paid to downgrade Vista machines to XP............. PRICELESS
    Falso!
From yet another IT guy it's a nightmare. I would stay clear for another 6 month or so and the majority of secuirty holes will be fixed.
    TRUE!!!! get a Mac
    false
    False
False. Vista has it's problems to be sure, but all versions of Windows have, and Vista has probably had comparatively fewer.

Some people blame Vista because their hardware doesn't work. News flash: Microsoft doesn't write the drivers for all the devices out there. That is the responsibility of the manufacturer. Vista has been out for over a year. If the device manufacturer hasn't written a driver for Vista by now, either a.) the device is too old, and probably not even supported anymore, or b.) the company is extremely lazy.

Some people complain about Vista's system requirements, especially RAM and hard drive space. While it is probably excessive to most people, all versions of Windows are ';bloated.'; It's been several years since the release of XP. If there had been 3 releases in between XP and Vista, no one would complain, because the requirements would have risen gradually.

Some people also complain about software compatibility. Again, Vista has been out for a while. If a program doesn't work on Vista, it is because the program is too old, and doesn't receive updates to fix it anymore. Your program will likely never work on any other version of Windows released in the future, either. I have lots of older programs that don't run well on XP, let alone Vista. What did I do? I either ran them in a compatibility, something both XP AND Vista have to provide, or I stopped using them altogether.
From an IT prospective, VERY TRUE.

    1 Example:

Say you have dialup... and it isn't working... In order to get the error message (that technicians HEAVILY rely on *myself being one*) you have to go to:

Start%26gt; Connect To%26gt; Open Network and Sharing Center%26gt; Manage Network Connections%26gt; Open up the correct connection%26gt; and then dial.

    Retarded Microsoft...

    Get Ubuntu (it's free)
Its absolutely the best version to come out yet and those that may not think so yet is probably only because you havent yet learned how to use it properly. It is absolutely perfect for all the latest programs, and the ease and speed of its functionality is marvellous.
    True

It sucks. Blue screens, resource hogging, app and hardware incompatibility, slow boot, slow running, and way too much code designed to protect the computer illiterate.

Malware and security threats should be handled only partly by the os. There are plenty of good apps out there to protect the innocent. MS has tried unsuccessfully to build a wall from all sorts of danger only to seriously compromise the efficiency of the os.
true, Windows in general sucks compared to Apple

    Windows XP true or false?

Windows XP Pro or home will only allow you to install it on ONE computer only. True or false?

You never really OWN XP, every year you have to pay to get it reactivated, or a upgrade, maintenence, or subcription fee(otherwise if you want to use it year after year, you have to keep paying for it) true or false?

If you decide to upgrade your graphic card, hard drive, memory XP goes stupid and won't work until you call Microsoft to get it reactivated(and maybe pay more money) True or false?

Truth, I do not believe XP the be al that and a bag of micro chips. I see it as a way to keep the consumer in their pocket by making sure all other older, totally free options are gone, and you have to keep paying them getting rooked like you do by the cable and oil companies. idk

false, I have never made a single payment for Windows XP

    idk

    false

    false...Windows XP true or false?
Only the first assertion is true of XP.

The second is partially true in as much as you do not actually own XP.

All is true of Vista but not XP.

With Vista It is one installation per computer.

You do have to pay a subscription fee for virus protection.

You can only activate it one time and if you make a hardware change you will have to buy another license.

It is engineered to become obsolete when Microsoft decides they want to make it obsolete. (aka. kill switch)

And it is not backward compatible with most software or drivers.

    But that is Vista.

XP is actually a pretty good operating system.

It is prone Virus and Trojans and Spyware attacks but it is not all that bad.
    1) All software (with the exception of free-ware or share-ware) is supposed to be, ';one copy for each computer';. However, there really is nothing that will ';prevent'; you from installing XP on more than one computer...especially in a home environment.

    2) False. Whoever told you that is making sh*t up.

    3) False. Good lord, where are you hearing this stuff? microsoftparanoia.com?

    4) False. Again. What the hell are you talking about???? Buy it once. Install it once. You're done!

    5) Okay. This is, at least, sort-of true. Most software that worked with previous versions of Windows (especially 9x versions) won't work with XP. Although, much of the Win 2000 software will....but not all of it.
True. You can only install it one computer.

False. You don't have to pay to have to keep paying for it year after year to continue using it.

False. Upgrading your computer doesn't make XP go stupid. But you do have to make sure the hardware, software upgrade is compatible with XP.

True. In order to get people to upgrade their computer systems, Microsoft developed XP. Microsoft will no longer support older systems and hardware devices.

True. Some programs that worked in 9x or 2K will not work in XP. You will have to check to see if your programs will work with XP or not. This is due to the new file system XP uses.
A lot of questions. I will just say no. Now ';VISTA'; scan the computer hardware for about 5-7 things and make a log and this filed when you register. Then when you go to Microbutt it know it not on the correct computer, if you install on another, and here you go. I wonder how it work when a person does change a motherboard or HDD. Probably have to kiss the microbutt, but, should be able to re-activate.
I believe XP can be used on multiple computers.

However your concept of not owing XP is false. You do not have to reactivate it every year, nor do you have to pay a subscription fee or anything like that. The only thing you SHOULD do is keep it updated using the Windows Update feature. That doesn't cost anything. It comes with XP. Once you purchase a copy of XP, it is yours. You are not renting it or anything.
You need a license key for each computer using XP. If it's a retail copy rather than one that came with the computer, you can transfer it to another computer as long as you no longer use it on the old one.

No, you don't have to pay each year to reactivate or upgrade. As long as you have the computer, its copy of XP belongs to it at no further cost.

You can upgrade your graphics card and memory with no problem. If you have an OEM version you may need to get it reactivated if you replace the motherboard, but there's no charge.

XP has a a compatibility mode option to allow older software to work if it doesn't work on XP out of the box. Some software won't, but most 98SE and 2000 software will.
the licnese is for a single copy on one machine....not that there aren't ways around that

technically i paid for an oem license for win98 since it came installed on my first puter but that was about the last software purchase i've made. everything is available on p2p networks including keygens and activation workarounds
I've installed the same XP Pro SP2 CD on 5 different computers and registered all 5 of them, and never once had a problem. Microsoft should be familiar with the concept of a 4-5 person household so they don't really care. It's those serial keys that get plugged 10,000 times a day when they start to take action.

There are no monthly fees or dues of any kind. One down payment at the checkout counter and that's it. You possess your end user license agreement at that point forward. No tricks.

As long as your boot hard drive remains, XP will be there. There will be peripheral searches when installing hardware but that takes 20 seconds.
If you buy a windows XP version you own a single license and with this license you can install and run it on a single computer, so your first statement is true.

Your second statement is false you do not have to keep repaying for a Windows activation.

You don not have to reactivate windows if you install a new graphics card, memory, hard drive, or such, but if you install a new motherboard you may have to reactivate it.

Old software does need updating if you upgrade to windows XP, so this means you will have to buy new software, or obtain new drivers for devices.
Absolutely false. I don't know where you got your copy of windows, but I've never paid for anything from Microsoft. As a matter of fact, I've never experienced any of the things you listed.

Is it possible that placing the EPT pregnancy test window side down can lead to a false negative?

I took a pregnancy test, and after peeing on the stick, I placed it window side down. The directions say to leave it window side up. (got in a hurry and put it down wrong! ugh!)

It has been 5 weeks since I had sex, and I cannot use the method of ';see if I miss my period,'; bc I barely have a period due to taking LoEstrin birth control.

What are the chances that the result is a false negative? Is it possible that placing the EPT pregnancy test window side down can lead to a false negative?
The test will still read correctly.. the urine will still cross the hcg line either way, up or down. Retest just to be sure.Is it possible that placing the EPT pregnancy test window side down can lead to a false negative?
I put mine down (oops) and I still got the correct result. It's possible, but not likely. If you really think it's wrong, I'd recommend getting another test just to be sure. The digital ones are much easier to read and are more accurate so I'd recommend those next time if you didn't try them already. Or you could try going to your obgyn for a blood test, they're super accurate.

    Good luck!
prolly not likely..when i took an EPT it INSTANTLY showed the pregnancy sign as soon as i peed on it, i didnt even set it down yet. if you are, you are.
I don't think that would effect the test results.

Should sellers be liable for false ads on Windows Vista?

For example, I brought a new pair of eye glasses and ordered basically trifocals. But the space was so small for reading that the glasses make me dizzy and are useless. Another day I took my car for repairs. I needed a water pump and radiator to the tune of $900 which I had to borrow half from a friend; four months later the water pump was leaking and I had to shell out another $500 because the first repair was done incorrectly. Then I decided to buy an EMachine with Windows Vista installed. My printer had been working fine but with Vista the fax and scanner no longer functioned. None of this was told to me when I brought the EMachine. Nor was it listed in any of their documentation. So the seller misled me as well as the manufacturer. Then I upgraded to Vista Premium and that knocked out a few programs which I had to reinstall. Still no printer. Now the stores were selling printers 4 in one that say they are compatible with Vista. I shelled out $149. Wireless printer works but I cannot get the regular printer, scanner, fax to work. The software CD as well as the HP website download do not work and the printer software says the Vista with 501 mg memory and virtual memory does not have enough memory to load. Other software on the computer or installed does not even recognize that the USB printer is connected. Why aren't people mad as hell and holding stores liable for false advertising that the product on both ends does not work?Should sellers be liable for false ads on Windows Vista?
Sound like they have sold you something not fit for purpose. You have a right to take it back and demand a refund or it replaced with one that is compatible with Vista (plenty are not). Contact the manufacture of the printer make you want and give them the model number and chech for compatability with Vista before you buy. You could also try downloading the manual for the printer model you are interests in before you but it. That way you get to see if says that its compatible with Vista.

    Edit

I agree its disgusting that we get ripped off by misleading manufactures claims. They sell them to us and put stuff in small print, if in any print at all, and then when we complian they say that their box etc says..........I had the same problem with printers. 6 of them where mis-sold. I got my money back but I had to keep installing and unistall untill I felt my life was just installing printers. I now know a bit about printers as a result but all I wanted was a printer that worked as it should. I was mad as hell and I went to trading standards. I got all my money back, they were all from the same shop, and money to cover the cost of having to take them back and fore. Once you buy them they don't want to know unless you kick up a fuss which we should not have to do. Customer services are a joke. They just put you on hold or fob you off.Should sellers be liable for false ads on Windows Vista?

  • Houses in cold climates usually should not have large picture windows? true or false?

It depends on the quality of the glass, the hours of daylight you'll recieve and the direction the window is facing.

In the northern hemisphere the Sun is found in the south direction of th esky. Therefore any south facing windows should be large to allow the Sun's radiation to penetrate. Obviously you need to recieve solar radiation to benefit. If you live in a densely poulated area with shadows cast over your windows then this would be pointless.

North facing windows will recieve no sunlight are therefore shouldn't be too large.

In the southern hemisphere the opposite is true. East and west facing windows will not be of any benefit since the solar radiation they recieve, if any in winter, will be very sparse.

However, glass can vary enormously in their thermal conductivity. Heat loss is normally measured by the thermal transmittance or U value, usually expressed in W/m^2K. In its most basic terms, the lower the U value, the greater the thermal insulation. Insulating glass units incorporating low emissivity glass can significantly improve the Thermal Insulation. Glass of higher U values will offer poorer insulation (http://www.pilkington.com/applications/p鈥?/a>

Obviously in winter the days are much shorter and any solar heating will be of a short (a few hours) duration. Windows will therefore lose heat as the Sun disappears over the horizon,Houses in cold climates usually should not have large picture windows? true or false?
False.. the bigger the window the more natural sunlight it will let in and help with the heating of it...Houses in cold climates usually should not have large picture windows? true or false?
True. A room with any window will always take more energy to heat than a room without windows, and the bigger the windows the more heat is needed.

When the sun is shining in the window, you may need less heat, but if you live in a cold climate you aren't going to get much sunlight. In a place like Chicago, in the winter, you only get sunlight for about 8 hours out of 24, and that's on a good day. And the sun is only going to hit your window for part of that time. The rest of the time heat is going out through the window faster than through the walls.
Plus, the real estate value of houses with tiny windows will nosedive, nevertheless.
I live in Chicago, I guess that's a cold climate, and my window is 7'x14' I think that would be considered large. It is a high-rise and it's special glass. With modern glass it is possible.
I think it is false. Just in my opinion, more sunlight would be let in if the windows were bigger and at night the chill would stay on the glass... my grandpa told me that... the bigger the better.

Are you sure they're running? Just ';having them'; doesn't mean they're running, and one malware attack is to shut down your defenses. Make sure they're actually on the job, usually via their System Notification Area icons on the right of the Taskbar.

Second to that is that they have to let Windows Security Center know they're there. My Norton Internet Security suddenly seems to have lost that ability also. I'm hoping it's just that Microsoft changed the specifications for that interchange of information and Norton/Symantec hasn't caught up yet.

    False Alarm Windows Firewall Pop-ups?

My computer has a Windows XP OS. I have the firewall enabled and I also use Microsoft Forefront Anti-virus software. A few days ago, I got a pop-up from the Firewall saying that it detected the worm Win32.brontok. The option to 'keep blocking'; is not available; the only thing I can click is the ';enable protection'; button, which takes me to a page where I can buy antivirus software (which...I already own and therefore shouldn't need). I ran the Forefront scan, and it said my computer was clean. I researched Win32.brontok and everything I read said that symptoms of the worm are being unable to open the Registry Editor and/or the Task Manager. I can do both. I have Forefront run a scan every day and it has not detected anything, but the Firewall pop-up keeps insisting that I have this worm. Is this a false alarm? Should I be worried? I tried disabling notifications from the Security Center, but the pop-ups keep coming.False Alarm Windows Firewall Pop-ups?

Unscrupulous thieves have sent you this email and they are trying to part you from your hard earned cash. They will often ask you to call a premium rate number and keep you holding on whilst you rack up a huge phone bill. They are then paid a large proportion of this phone bill. They may ask you to divulge personal information about yourself or ask for your bank or credit card details. Do not divulge any such information under any circumstances. It is surprising how many innocent victims have been duped by these types of emails. Just remember the thieves who send them are very clever and extremely convincing. Thanks! Can I use a false Windows XP CD with a original license?
yes you can, as long as it's the right version. Can I use a false Windows XP CD with a original license?
As long as you got the same version which was licensed to your computer that long can you use any windows cd. The license number is usually on the bottom of a laptop on a little extra label or on the back of a desktop. You cannot us a Windows XP Professional with a license of the Home Edition---I tried that the other day. As long as you have that little label on your computer, with the Windows License number, that long can you use any Windows CD--provided that it is the version assigned to the license number.
Windows is windows so long as it is not contain the cracked key. at the point where it request the key enter the numbers that you paid for (legal) it will then check on the Windows site to see if it is legal and if so your copy of windows will be allowed and you will be able to update and add from the Windows sites.
Yes. As long as you have a legitimate Product Key, you can use any install disc that is the same version as the original installation.
hi mate if u mean u have another cd but not the original and u want to use that with ur new license key then it should be fine.

How do you keep moisture out of a false arch window?

Manufacturer has removed and re-installed same window twice in 18 months, says it's normal for false arch windows, refuses to replace. How do you keep moisture out of a false arch window?
Moisture is not normal! The first guy is absolutely correct, if your getting moisture between the two panes of a double pane window; the seal is broken. (Not the caulking around the window but the integral factory installed seal between the two pains around it's perimeter.) Don't let them try to talk their way out of replacing it. They just don't want to pull the window because once it's been trimmed around, drywalled, etc... Well... it's a real pain! Also their warranty is probably up after 12/18/or24 months. Many shady subcontractors will try to put you off until after their warranty has expired, then say you never contacted them till after wards. Establish a paper trail asap and report them to someone.

Good luck! How do you keep moisture out of a false arch window?
If it's not a main window, buy spray-on glass frosting.(gives it that white frosted look which the moisture kind of looks like) It's just a trick to disguise the problem but if the window's intentionally frosted, they can't see the problem!

You haven't stated where the moisture is but I'm going to hazard a guess and say that you're getting the moisture between the panes of glass. If this is the case, then this is NOT normal for any windows. If you are getting the moisture between the panes of glass, the seal is broken and the window should be replaced. No if, ands or buts about it. It is defective.
    try shutting the window

  • TRUE OR FALSE: Windows XP System Needs At Least 1024 RAM To Operate Effectively?

Mine Still Operates On 512 RAMTRUE OR FALSE: Windows XP System Needs At Least 1024 RAM To Operate Effectively?
well false then!TRUE OR FALSE: Windows XP System Needs At Least 1024 RAM To Operate Effectively?
It depends what application programs you have on your PC. If you only have MS windows XP and an Internet explorer, AOL, or, an anti-virus program, a few simple programs, your PC can still works pretty effectively. On the other hand, if you load up with many different application programs in your PC, Photoshop cs3, Photoshop Elements, MS windows Office Suites professional suites, and some other heavy duty programs, you naturally need more memory to handle all of the tasks. If your PC has more than 1GB RAM, you will find the PC speed much faster! This is like a human brain - the bigger the brain, the smarter! If someone has a small brain like a walnut, the computation, thinking in that small space will be all jammed up, therefore, very slow! So, check what you have on your computer, then, you know whether you need more memory. Now, the Ram memory chip is very cheap, if you need to add more memory, you can spend $100 have a repair store add it for you, you do not need to worry you loss your files on your PC. But if you have sensitive files - Taxes returns, personal letters, download to a portable drive first before bring to a repair store - Just for security reasons.

I was curios if this was all true, could somebody give me their opinion on this topic?I heard that the Microsoft company will soon stop supporting Microsoft Windows XP. True or false?
Yes, but you don't have to worry the support for XP are available so much out there. Including from us here in Yahoo! Answers. I have a friend still using Windows 98, and he's doing fine right now in 2008.I heard that the Microsoft company will soon stop supporting Microsoft Windows XP. True or false?
True. XP support will end in 2014.

Microsoft (and other software companies like Apple) uses a forced-upgrade product release model to keep the revenue flowing in. Your old OS becomes obsolete, forcing you to pay for the upgrade.

This has made Microsoft (and others) a multi-billion dollar corporation. Since this model has worked very well for them, it won't be going away any time soon.
True, they are trying to push everyone into using Vista, hence the faulty SP3, alot of people have trouble with SP3, its because SP3 is a trick into making people think that XP no longer works as it shuld

    hope this helps
if soon means 2014 or so, then yeah.

MSFT quit selling Windows XP (though some OEMs can offer it as they have a different arrangement), but will support it (i.e. patch security holes, etc.) until 2014
not going to stop support but stoped production and now with vista
i think it was wrong information. they will give support atleast 5years too.
Well, a day will definitely come when Microsoft stops supporting Windows XP, but dont worry, as it will not happen in the near future !!
It will happen, but not any time soon.XP was their most successful OS ever, they know millions have it, and wouldn't dare to try to stop support too soon.
yes it is true it is stoped from 1st of july2008
